i'm curious as to what people think of this. i, personally, do not like it. i like gore and violence like...a lot, but these movies are just pure torture. there's absolutely no motive behind it other than "i feel like slowly killing someone." it's ridiculous. at least Saw had a plot and a reason for all the gore. i dunno, it just bothers me. it's...voyeuristic sadism.

I'm on the fence, because traveling to new places is scary and shit, traveling to a new place to hunted by some crazy millionare is even scarier.

But they went about it all wrong.
Especially at the end of the first one.
He kills the bad guy so easily after all the trouble the guy put into torturing him.
Ticked me off.

Ok the first one was good, the second one was...ok, I kind of fell asleep to it and had to watch it over. I was very very very interested in the Bathory-esque scene though xP

First one was definitely the better of the two, good but not great. It got way too built up for me with the whole "oh you can't watch it, it's too brutal" I voted "Yes i do" there wasn't really a point, it's more of those late night B flicks - or that's the category I'd pull it into, a lot of blood and nonsense just cause they can do it.

Ugh, I could sit through them once each. The attempt at plot wasn't all that great, and they did beat you over the head with it for the first hour. The sex and drugs was not something I enjoyed, at all. I thought it was pointless.
I thought I was watching a gore movie, not a porno. ;-;
But the gore itself was pretty, and that was entertaining. So just as long as I ignore about 75% of the movies they're okay. Haha.

The second half of it was stupid gore [though it was funny with the chainsaw bit... >.> Did anyone else think that was amusing? xD], and did anyone see a plot anywhere? No? Me neither.
They didn't explain WHY there was this group of people killing off others, who they are really, why they feel the need to torture and kill people. I just... couldn't get into it properly :/ And I got pissed off at that girl who threw herself infront of the train. That guy had gone to all the trouble to save her, when he could have got out quicker without her, and then she just offs herself cos she's NOT PRETTY ANYMORE OH NOEZ. .____. oh well.}

Only have seen the first one. The beginning was very uninteresting, pointless amount of gore for a shock factor. Not gonna lie they did have some neat effects though.

((anyone else notice at the end of the credits in number one the hookers voice comes on and says "now your my bitch?" I never understood why it was there :\)))
